Sustainability & ESG

Emissions can't be talked down. Only measured and reduced.

Determining the sustainability topics that matter, measuring emissions and building strategy, targets and reporting. The result is documented ESG data, targets and a report; external assurance comes from auditors.

Usual

What you often get

A sustainability report with glossy photos and vague targets, written by the communications department. The data comes from estimates and spreadsheets without sources. When the bank asks for evidence or the assurance comes round, things get tight.

IntoOps

What you get from us

Evidence before messaging: we capture energy, emissions and supply chain data with procurement, operations and finance, every figure with its source. Targets get measures and owners. The report is built from this data, not the other way round.

Service components

4 components. Where a licence is required, we coordinate.

  1. Materiality analysis

  2. Carbon footprint

  3. Sustainability strategy & targets

  4. Sustainability reporting

What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.

  • A reasoned list of the topics that are material to you, with an assessment.
  • A carbon footprint for scopes 1 to 3 with documented sources and calculations.
  • Sustainability targets with measures, owners and metrics, approved by management.
  • Data collection with fixed responsibilities, so the next report doesn't start from scratch.
  • A sustainability report ready for assurance, with all evidence on file.

When you need this. And how you'll know.

  • Your bank asks for ESG data in a loan meeting, and there isn't any.
  • Large companies among your customers require carbon figures, or you won't make the supplier shortlist.
  • A sustainability report is expected, but there's no in-house experience with one.
  • Your targets are published, but the measures and figures behind them are still missing.

Rarely alone. Never bundled.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Do you also audit our sustainability report?

No. External assurance comes from an audit firm that we appoint on your behalf. We supply the report and evidence and handle the follow-up questions.

That keeps the assurance independent of our work.

Do we have to produce a sustainability report at all?

Not necessarily. Whether there's a legal obligation depends on factors such as size and legal form. If in doubt, your audit firm or law firm will clarify it.

Banks and large companies among your customers often ask for the data even without an obligation.

Can we commission just the carbon footprint?

Yes. The carbon footprint is available on its own, for example to answer a customer request. We set it up so that your team can update it next year.

Do you include our supply chain?

Yes, where scope 3 or due diligence obligations require it. We collect the data with your procurement team and our supply chain risk & resilience specialists. Any risks that come up go into the register of compliance & risk management.

Proof first. Contract second.

In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.

No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
