System Integration & APIs

Copy and paste is an interface. An expensive one.

Designing and building interfaces between applications and monitoring them in operation. The result is documented, monitored interfaces with defined error handling.

Usual

What you often get

Every piece of software comes with its own interface, built by someone else. Hardly any are documented, even fewer are monitored. With every update, the whole company hopes the data keeps flowing.

IntoOps

What you get from us

First we define which system is responsible for which data. Every interface reports errors to a named person, not to accounting at month-end. Often it's built as part of an ERP project, but a single connection is a job in its own right too.

Service components

5 components. Each one available on its own.

  1. Integration architecture

  2. API development

  3. Integration platforms

  4. EDI connections

  5. Interface monitoring & maintenance

What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.

  • A data map: which system owns which data, and where it flows.
  • API documentation that other teams can work with too.
  • Tested data flows with test cases for normal operation, errors and retries.
  • Alerts set up with a defined owner for every interface.
  • A runbook describing what to do for each type of error.

When you need this. And how you'll know.

  • Orders, invoices or stock levels are transferred between two systems by hand.
  • Your retail customers require orders and invoices via EDI.
  • An interface keeps failing, and nobody knows exactly why.
  • A new system is coming in and has to talk to ERP, shop and CRM.

Rarely alone. Never bundled.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Do you also look after existing interfaces?

Yes. First we document what's running and set up monitoring. Then you decide what stays, what gets fixed and what gets replaced.

Do we need an integration platform for this?

Not with only a few systems. There, direct connections do the job.

A platform pays off when many systems need the same data or new ones are added often. We explain the choice before you buy any licences.

Isn't this the same as process automation?

No, but they're closely related. Integration connects systems permanently at data level. Process automation takes over work steps and often builds on such connections.

Do you stay responsible for errors after go-live?

Yes, as ongoing support. We respond to alerts, adapt interfaces when systems are updated and report regularly. Alternatively, we hand over to your team, runbook included.

Can you connect us to retailers via EDI?

Yes. We set up the connection, map orders, delivery notes and invoices and test with real messages. After that, monitoring shows whether every message arrives.

Proof first. Contract second.

In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.

No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
