Supply Chain Optimisation
Goods don't travel too slowly. Mostly, they wait.
Diagnosing the entire flow of goods, comparing design options and implementing the agreed changes. The result is a redesigned supply chain with measured effects on lead time, cost and service.
Usual
What you often get
Here an external warehouse set up for an old project, there a supplier that was the cheapest years ago. Optimisation happens piecemeal, sometimes freight, sometimes the purchase price. What purchasing saves, logistics or the warehouse then pays.
IntoOps
What you get from us
We map the whole flow, from supplier to customer: volumes, stock, waiting times, costs. From that come a few options, fully costed and compared.
We implement the one you choose and measure the impact against the baseline. If planning is the bottleneck, supply chain planning takes over.
Service components
4 components. Each one available on its own.
-
Mapping flows, stocks, lead times and costs across the chain.
-
Locations of warehouses, production and suppliers, including nearshoring.
-
Concrete measures to shorten lead times and cut supply chain costs.
-
Tools and data for transparency and planning across partners.
What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.
- A goods flow map with volumes, stock, lead times and costs per stage.
- Costed options for locations, suppliers and transport routes, including nearshoring if wanted.
- An implementation plan with actions, owners and milestones, agreed with everyone involved.
- Impact measured against the baseline for lead time, cost and availability.
- A data concept that makes orders, stock and shipments visible across partners.
When you need this. And how you'll know.
- Lead times are long, even though production and transport are actually quick.
- Logistics costs are rising faster than revenue.
- Warehouses, sites and suppliers were added over time but never looked at together.
- You're considering moving suppliers or production closer and need solid numbers first.
Rarely alone. Never bundled.
Supply Chain Optimisation often works together with these services. We'll tell you honestly when a combination makes sense, and when it doesn't.
Shows up in these initiatives.
You don't need a whole initiative to get Supply Chain Optimisation. These examples show where the service is often needed.
Good questions. Straight answers.
Will this pay off for us?
The diagnosis shows that before larger sums are spent. It reveals where time and money are lost and what a change would cost. If no option is worth it, we tell you, and you still get a clear picture of your chain.
Is nearshoring an option too?
Yes. We compare locations not by wage costs but by total cost: freight, customs, stock, quality, ramp-up risk. If you decide to go ahead, we plan transport routes and customs with logistics & shipping and support the move.
Do you stop at the concept?
No. We implement the agreed steps with your team and the partners until they run in day-to-day operations. Afterwards, we measure what has actually changed in lead time, cost and availability.
Is this different from performance improvement?
Yes, although the two often run together. This is about the flow of goods across company boundaries: suppliers, sites, transport routes. Performance improvement targets costs and processes across the whole company.
Do you digitalise the supply chain as well?
Yes, where it creates transparency. Often what's missing isn't software but a shared data set between you and your partners. We select and introduce tools with our IT specialists.
Proof first. Contract second.
In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.
No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
