Product Improvement & Lifecycle Management
A product is never finished. Only released.
Maintaining products over their life: evaluating field feedback, implementing improvements and managing engineering changes. The result is released product changes with documented effects on quality and cost.
Usual
What you often get
Complaints end up with service, cost pressure with purchasing, discontinuation notices with the supplier. Engineering has long since moved on to the next product. Changes to the old one happen on request, with no check of what else they affect.
IntoOps
What you get from us
Feedback from service, purchasing and production comes together in one place, and you decide what's worth doing. Every change is checked for its effect on parts, documents and approvals before release. We replace discontinued parts in good time, together with supplier management.
Service components
4 components. Each one available on its own.
-
Improvements based on field data, complaints and new requirements.
-
Reducing product costs without losing required function.
-
Controlled changes with impact checks and release.
-
Replacing discontinued components and materials in time.
What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.
- A prioritised list of improvements based on field data, complaints and costs.
- Released changes with updated drawings, bills of materials and documents.
- A documented change process with roles, review steps and approvals.
- An obsolescence list with at-risk parts, alternatives and switch-over dates.
- Value engineering proposals with cost comparison, proof of function and implementation plan.
When you need this. And how you'll know.
- Complaints keep piling up for the same part, and engineering has no time.
- Purchasing reports that a chip is discontinued and the remaining stock won't last.
- Price pressure is rising, and your product hasn't changed in years.
- Changes are made directly in production, and the drawings no longer match.
Rarely alone. Never bundled.
Product Improvement & Lifecycle Management is usually part of a wider engagement, often alongside these services. You can still ask for Product Improvement & Lifecycle Management on its own.
Good questions. Straight answers.
Do you maintain products that others developed?
Yes. We familiarise ourselves with the data and documents and tell you what's missing. Often the first task is catching up on documentation before anything can be changed cleanly.
Do you guarantee savings from value engineering?
No. Whether a measure pays off also depends on volumes, suppliers and tooling.
We work out every measure in advance and show you what it is likely to save and cost. You make the decision, with figures instead of gut feeling.
Can we hand over product care permanently?
Yes. We review feedback regularly, bundle changes and keep the documents up to date. The scope depends on your products and changes, not on a package.
Does this help with recurring complaints?
Yes, if the cause lies in the product. With after-sales service, we define which data is recorded for each complaint. Then the cause can be found instead of just fixing the individual case.
Proof first. Contract second.
In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.
No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
