Target Account Development

Mail merges don't open boardrooms. Good introductions might.

Selecting strategic target accounts, mapping decision-makers and building relationships through introductions and meetings. The result is documented access to target accounts and qualified opportunities handed over to sales.

Usual

What you often get

Big names land on the same list as everyone else and get the same email. Whoever replies works in purchasing and can't decide anything. After the first no, the topic is closed, although large companies rarely buy at first contact.

IntoOps

What you get from us

Few companies, but thoroughly: who decides there, who influences, who blocks? We look for access through introductions, occasions and content, aligned with marketing. And we stay on it, conversation by conversation, until an opportunity is ready for closing.

Service components

5 components. Each one available on its own.

  1. Target account selection

  2. Stakeholder mapping

  3. Door opening & introductions

  4. Account-based programmes

  5. Relationship plans

What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.

  • A reasoned list of target companies with potential and route of access.
  • A buying centre map for each company: who decides, who advises, who checks.
  • First conversations with the right people, documented with need and next step.
  • A status for each target company, visible in the CRM at any time.
  • Qualified opportunities with a complete handover to your sales team or ours.

When you need this. And how you'll know.

  • A few large companies would change your business, but you can't get in.
  • You have a contact in purchasing, but nobody who decides.
  • Your sales team is busy with day-to-day business and has no time for long lead-ins.
  • A conversation with a corporate group was months ago, and nothing has happened since.

Rarely alone. Never bundled.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Do you open doors through your own contacts?

Sometimes. Where someone in our team has a suitable contact, we use it openly and with your consent. But don't rely on it: most doors open through introductions, occasions and persistence.

Isn't this the same as account-based marketing?

Not quite. Account-based marketing is part of it: coordinated content and campaigns for named companies.

On top of that come personal conversations, introductions and a plan for each company. Marketing prepares the ground; relationships are built by people.

Does target account development take staying power?

Yes. Large companies decide with many people involved and in fixed budget cycles. So we agree milestones that show you progress: access, first conversations, a concrete need.

Does it pay off for lots of small companies?

No. The effort per company is high and only pays off for a few large opportunities. For broad target groups, lead generation followed by outreach is the better route.

Can the stakeholder mapping be commissioned separately?

Yes. Every component is available on its own.

Stakeholder mapping also pays off when your sales team is already in talks and stuck. Often the person who really decides is missing.

Proof first. Contract second.

In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.

No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
