Cash & Working Capital Management
Revenue doesn't pay salaries. Cash does.
Making liquidity transparent, planning it and freeing cash tied up in receivables, inventory and payables. The result is a liquidity plan in use and measured working capital improvements.
Usual
What you often get
A cash forecast gets built when the bank asks, then goes stale in a folder. Payment terms, stock and reminders run on the side. And when things get tight, management pieces the figures together at the weekend.
IntoOps
What you get from us
A cash forecast that we keep reconciling with your bank balances and discuss with you. Plus work on the causes: invoicing sooner, planning stock with purchasing, steering payment runs. Because accounting and planning sit in the same team, it doesn't stop at a recommendation.
Service components
4 components. Where a licence is required, we coordinate.
Marked components require a licence, so they always come as part of a wider engagement. Licensed partners carry them out; we appoint them on your behalf and coordinate.
-
Weekly and monthly liquidity forecasts.
-
Shorter payment terms, lower stocks and better payables management.
-
Bank accounts, payment runs and cash positioning.
-
Securing liquidity under pressure; restructuring and insolvency law by lawyers.
Note: Legal advice and the drafting and review of contracts are handled by law firms. We appoint them on your behalf and coordinate.
What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.
- A cash forecast with reconciliation to actuals, a fixed update date and documented assumptions.
- KPIs for days sales outstanding, days inventory and payment terms, set up and reported monthly.
- A working capital action list with owners, deadlines and a measurement for each action.
- Structured payment runs with approval levels and a current overview of all bank accounts.
- In a crisis: a reliable cash position as the basis for talks with banks.
When you need this. And how you'll know.
- Your order book is full, and yet money in the account is getting tight.
- Your customers pay later and later, and nobody follows up on open items.
- Your warehouse is growing faster than your revenue.
- Financing is running out, and you need to know how long the money lasts.
- Before every payroll run, you nervously check the bank balance.
Rarely alone. Never bundled.
Cash & Working Capital Management often works together with these services. We'll tell you honestly when a combination makes sense, and when it doesn't.
Shows up in these initiatives.
You don't need a whole initiative to get Cash & Working Capital Management. These examples show where the service is often needed.
- Problem Our costs are too high.
- Project We have to change fundamentally.
- Goal We need money for our next step.
Good questions. Straight answers.
Can you help when things are already on fire?
Yes. Then what counts first is a reliable overview: which money comes in when, and which goes out when. We build it with you and prepare the talks with banks.
Restructuring and insolvency law questions go to a law firm we appoint on your behalf. Whether legal obligations apply is for the firm to assess, not for us.
Can I commission just a cash forecast?
Yes. We build the forecast, reconcile it with actuals and keep it running for as long as you want. Or we hand it over to your team, with instructions.
Does this include our inventory levels?
Yes, if capital is tied up there. Stock depends on planning, lead times and delivery capability. That's why we work with supply chain planning and your purchasing team, so lower stock doesn't lead to supply gaps.
Do we need treasury software for this?
Not necessarily. A well-built forecast, reconciled with accounting and bank data, is often enough. If your payment volume grows, we'll look at whether a tool is worth it.
Proof first. Contract second.
In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.
No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
