Industrial & Product Design

Form follows function. And tooling costs.

Designing how a product looks, feels and is used, in line with brand and engineering constraints. The result is approved design models and data for engineering.

Usual

What you often get

The design studio's renderings impress in every presentation. Then engineering reports that the wall thicknesses don't work, and production that the shape will be too expensive. In the end the product looks like a compromise, because it is one.

IntoOps

What you get from us

Design and engineering work together from the first draft. Material, finish and tooling are on the table while we're still sketching. That way, what made the design worth having survives into production.

Service components

4 components. Each one available on its own.

  1. Industrial design

  2. Ergonomics & usability

  3. Colour, material & finish

  4. 3D visualisation & renderings

What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.

  • Design variants with a rationale for which direction holds up and why.
  • 3D design data in a format engineering can use directly.
  • A CMF concept aligned with manufacturing process, cost and brand.
  • Results from ergonomics tests with people who will actually use the product.
  • Renderings for decisions, website and sales before the first part exists.

When you need this. And how you'll know.

  • Your product works, but it still looks like a prototype.
  • Customers complain about handling, weight or grip, not about the technology.
  • A new product generation should match your brand, and the old one doesn't.
  • Sales needs images of the product before the first sample is ready.

Rarely alone. Never bundled.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Can we get just renderings for marketing?

Yes. Visualisations are available on their own, also based on your existing CAD data. That way you can show and test a product before it's built.

Do you design to our brand guidelines?

Yes. If there are design guidelines, we translate them into form, colour and material.

If they're missing or don't suit physical products, we develop them further together with branding & design.

Do you test usability with real people?

Yes. Using models, we check grip, operation and safety with people who will use it later. What we learn goes into the design while changes are still cheap.

Do you also design displays and user interfaces?

Yes. If your product has a display or an app, our UX/UI design team designs the interface. That way, operating the device and the screen feels like one product.

Proof first. Contract second.

In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.

No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
