Supplier Sourcing
Three quotes don't make a comparison.
Screening supply markets, running RFQs or tenders, negotiating and qualifying suppliers up to award. The result is selected, qualified suppliers with negotiated terms.
Usual
What you often get
Get quotes, compare unit prices, take the cheapest. Whether the supplier can handle the volumes, hold the quality and be reached in a crisis only shows after the first order. With goods from overseas, often not until the port.
IntoOps
What you get from us
We vet suppliers before you order: samples, documentation, capacity, financial health. Negotiations are backed by a cost model and real alternatives. And because supplier management can take over afterwards, the work doesn't end at the award.
Service components
6 components. Where a licence is required, we coordinate.
Marked components require a licence, so they always come as part of a wider engagement. Licensed partners carry them out; we appoint them on your behalf and coordinate.
-
Long list and screening of potential suppliers.
-
Specifications, RFQ or tender process and bid comparison; public procurement law by lawyers.
Note: Legal advice and the drafting and review of contracts are handled by law firms. We appoint them on your behalf and coordinate.
-
Comparing offers on price, quality, risk and capability.
-
Preparing and conducting negotiations on prices and terms.
-
Audits, samples, documents and set-up of new suppliers.
-
Sourcing in other countries, including quality and logistics aspects.
What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.
- A rated list of potential suppliers with profile, location and reasons for exclusion.
- An RFQ pack with specification, volumes and evaluation criteria.
- A bid comparison that shows total cost, not just unit prices.
- Negotiation minutes with agreed prices, payment and delivery terms.
- Qualified suppliers with approved samples and documents, set up in your system.
When you need this. And how you'll know.
- A new product needs parts your current suppliers can't deliver.
- You depend on a single supplier for an important part.
- A supplier's prices have risen for years, and nobody has looked for alternatives.
- You want to source in Eastern Europe or Asia but don't know anyone there.
Rarely alone. Never bundled.
Supplier Sourcing often works together with these services. We'll tell you honestly when a combination makes sense, and when it doesn't.
Shows up in these initiatives.
You don't need a whole initiative to get Supplier Sourcing. These examples show where the service is often needed.
Good questions. Straight answers.
Do you find suppliers abroad too?
Yes. We search for, vet and qualify suppliers abroad as well, including quality and logistics questions. Transport and customs are steered through logistics & shipping.
Do you lead the negotiations for us?
Yes, if you want us to. We prepare the negotiation, lead it alone or with you and document the outcome. The award decision is yours.
Do you handle public tenders under procurement law?
Yes, as part of a wider engagement. We take care of the specification, the process and the bid comparison. The procurement law review lies with a law firm that we appoint on your behalf and coordinate.
Do the supplier relationships stay with us?
Yes. Your company signs the contracts; suppliers deliver to you and invoice you. We document everything so your team can carry on alone at any time.
Does this help with parts for a new product?
Yes. For new developments we look for suppliers early, often alongside the design work. For the route into series production, we work with industrialisation & manufacturing transfer.
Proof first. Contract second.
In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.
No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
