Operations Design & Setup

Go-live isn't a test run. That comes first.

Translating requirements into an operations concept, selecting providers and tools and steering the ramp-up. The result is an operation that runs with documented workflows, capacities and responsibilities.

Usual

What you often get

An operations concept as a slide deck, plus a list of possible providers. Selecting, negotiating and onboarding is then left to your team, on top of the day job. On launch day, you find out what the concept left out.

IntoOps

What you get from us

Concept, selection, systems and ramp-up sit with one team that stays until things are stable. The systems are set up together with our IT & Digital specialists. Afterwards your team takes over a documented operation, or we keep steering it.

Service components

5 components. Each one available on its own.

  1. Operations concept & capacity planning

  2. Workflows & SOPs for new operations

  3. Provider & 3PL selection

  4. Operations systems & tools

  5. Ramp-up & go-live

What you'll have at the end. Results you can check.

  • An operations concept with volume model, staffing needs and reasons for every location decision.
  • Approved work instructions for every process step, with an owner and a deputy.
  • Selected providers with a documented comparison and agreed service levels.
  • Order, warehouse or ticket systems set up and tested with real data.
  • A ramp-up plan with test runs, go-live criteria and a fallback.
  • A handover to live operations with KPIs and a list of open points.

When you need this. And how you'll know.

  • You're opening a new site and need working processes there from day one.
  • The founding team still does everything, and volume is growing faster than the processes.
  • You're launching an online shop or a business line that needs storage, shipping or service.
  • You're bringing an outsourced function back in-house.

Rarely alone. Never bundled.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Does your work end at go-live?

No, only once the operation is stable. We agree before launch how we'll measure that. After that we hand over to your team or keep steering, through operations management.

Can you just select the provider for us?

Yes, selection is a component in its own right. We describe the requirements, gather offers and compare them against fixed criteria. If you like, we also support the negotiation and onboarding.

Do we need a warehouse management system first?

No. Which system fits only becomes clear from the operations concept. We handle selection and set-up with our IT specialists.

Often the start needs less than software vendors offer.

Is this suitable for a new site too?

Yes. We plan the operation there before the premises are ready. The search for space runs in parallel through site selection.

That way the site fits the operation, not the other way round.

Do you prepare our team for launch?

Yes. Work instructions only help if the team knows them. We train people before the first order and support the ramp-up until the routines are in place.

Proof first. Contract second.

In the free Initiative Check, we listen for 45 minutes and ask the questions that usually only come up after the contract is signed. Then you get a short written assessment: what we see, how we would go about it and roughly what it would take.

No obligation. And if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
